You might be surprised at the different types of emergency calls that occur on properties just like yours. To follow are some of the actual emergency calls our operators have received recently.

September/October 2017:

Pool Phone: Caller stated a man accused him and some friends of knocking down his decorations and pulled a gun on them. Dispatched police.

Elevator Phone: Elevator entrapment. Passenger requested EMS due to feeling like she was running out of air. Dispatched EMS.

Pool Phone: Caller stated it smelled smoky and weird at the pool. Dispatched fire rescue.

Pool Phone: Caller requested police due to a man opening all of the doors in the hallway of the apartments. Dispatched police.

Elevator Phone: Caller stated he was thinking about committing suicide and he needed help. Dispatched police to help him.

Help Phone: Caller stated an elderly male had fallen at the tennis courts and was requesting EMS. Dispatched EMS.

Pool Phone: Caller stated that his daughter was getting bitten by a dog. Dispatched EMS.

Pool Phone: Caller requested police due to someone threatening him with a knife. Dispatched police.

Elevator Phone: Elevator entrapment. Passenger requested EMS due to having asthma and breathing problems. Dispatched EMS.

Pool Phone: Caller reported a fire on the 2nd floor of the apartments. Dispatched fire rescue.

Help Phone: Caller stated that he heard voices in his head telling him to kill himself and that he had been walking for days and his feet were very swollen. Dispatched EMS per his request.

Pool Phone: Caller requested police due to being chased by a group of people with a knife and needing assistance. Dispatched police.

Pool Phone: Caller requested police because a snake was at the pool and kids were stepping on and playing with it. Dispatched police to call animal control.

Elevator Phone: Elevator entrapment. Passenger requested EMS due to being pregnant and having a panic attack. Dispatched EMS.

Elevator Phone: Caller requested EMS due to his legs giving out and falling in the elevator. Dispatched EMS.

Help Phone: Caller stated there was an altercation in the fitness room and he was assisting maintenance with subduing the people that were fighting. Dispatched police.

Pool Phone: Caller stated there was a large knife, duct tape and wires on the ground and thought it looked suspicious. Dispatched police.

Elevator Phone: Callers could be heard fighting in the elevator. When asked if everything was okay, someone said "no," but no one would respond further. Dispatched police due to potential emergency.

Pool Phone: Caller requested police due to people drinking and fighting around the kids at the pool. Dispatched police.

Help Phone: Caller with maintenance stated that there was a child that was alone and he did not know who he belonged to and requested police come help him. Dispatched police.

Elevator Phone: Elevator entrapment. Passenger requested medical attention due to his son's heart condition. Dispatched EMS.

Pool Phone: Caller stated she woke up to being sexually assaulted by 6 people and requested an ambulance due to injuries. Dispatched EMS. 

Help Phone: Children stated they were lost and could not find their apartment. When unable to reach management, dispatched police.

Help Phone: Caller stated she put the money in the dryer in the laundry room and it caught on fire. Dispatched fire rescue.

Elevator Phone: Caller was not trapped in the elevator but could not exit the building. Dispatched fire rescue.

Pool Phone: Caller stated that there was a man that was being abusive to a woman and she had asked him to call 911 for her. The abuser was breaking her window and beating on her door. Dispatched police.

Pool Phone: Caller stated he was jumped and requested police. Dispatched police. 

Elevator Phone: Caller stated there was an unattended child in the elevator and she would wait with him on the 50th floor for someone to come get him. When unable to reach management, dispatched police.

Elevator Phone: Elevator entrapment. Passenger requested EMS due to having asthma and breathing problems. Dispatched EMS.

Pool Phone: Caller requested police due to getting into a verbal altercation with the lifeguard at the pool. Dispatched police.

Elevator Phone: Elevator entrapment. Passenger requested EMS due to having an anxiety attack. Dispatched EMS.

Pool Phone: Caller requested police due to her girlfriend kicking her out of the apartment and not giving her dog back. Dispatched police.

Pool Phone: Caller stated someone had been shot and stopped responding. Dispatched EMS.

Help Phone: Caller reported that someone broke into the office and the alarm was going off. Dispatched police.

Elevator Phone: Caller stated there was a lot of smoke on the 2nd floor and she didn't know where it was coming from then stopped responding. Dispatched fire rescue.

Pool Phone: Child stated that there was a drunk person fighting at the pool and requested police. Dispatched police.

Elevator Phone: Elevator entrapment. Passengers stated they smelled a burning smell. Dispatched fire rescue due to possible emergency.

Elevator Phone: Elevator entrapment. Passenger requested EMS due to having internal bleeding. Dispatched EMS.

Pool Phone: Caller requested police due to a man grabbing her and telling her to give him all of her money. Dispatched police.

Pool Phone: Child stated another child was choking and stopped responding. Dispatched EMS.

Pool Phone: Caller stated his father hit him and his mother locked him out of the house and requested police. Dispatched police.

Elevator Phone: Caller stated that her husband hit her and took away her phone so she couldn't call anyone and requested police. Dispatched police.

Elevator Phone: Elevator entrapment. Passenger requested EMS due to being claustrophobic. Dispatched EMS.

Pool Phone: Caller requested police to report a noise complaint. Dispatched police.

Elevator Phone: Caller requested EMS due to her husband being sick, running a fever and vomiting blood in the alley behind the building.  Dispatched EMS.

Pool Phone:  Caller requested police due to someone breaking into her apartment and stealing her belongings. Dispatched police.

Elevator Phone: Elevator entrapment. Passenger requested EMS due to feeling faint. Dispatched EMS.

Elevator Phone: Caller stated his chest was hurting and stopped responding. Dispatched EMS.

Pool Phone: Caller stated that a 5-year-old child was thrown over the gate of the pool and could not get back out due to it being locked. Dispatched police due to potential emergency.

Help Phone: Caller stated someone had guns and he was not safe by the phone. Dispatched police.

Elevator Phone: Caller said she could not get out of the building. When unable to reach management, dispatched police.

Elevator Phone: Caller stated he was hearing voices and seeing things. He then said that his stomach was hurting. Dispatched EMS.

Pool Phone: Caller stated that a woman at the pool fell on the concrete and hit her head. Dispatched EMS.

Pool Phone: Caller requested EMS due to his muscles locking up and falling and hurting his leg. Dispatched EMS.

Help Phone: Callers unable to exit the garage. When unable to reach management, dispatched the FD.

Pool Phone: Caller stated there was a domestic disturbance at an apartment and he wasn't involved but was concerned for the well being of the tenants. Dispatched police.

Elevator Phone: Elevator entrapment. Passenger requested EMS due to being diabetic. Dispatched EMS.

Pool Phone: Caller stated he had a gun and was going to shoot himself. He gave brief details and stopped responding. Dispatched police due to reported emergency.

Elevator Phone: Child stated they jumped the fence and fell and hit their eye. Dispatched EMS.

Help Phone: Caller requested EMS for a woman who was bleeding in the parking lot. Dispatched EMS.

Help Phone: Caller stated a child was stuck in a swing set. When unable to reach management, dispatched police to assist child.
