Who is on the Other End of a Kings III Emergency Pool Phone?

Who answers the emergency pool phone on your property? Is your pool maintained and safe for residents? Property managers are responsible for making the pool safe for residents. Learn about Kings III pool phones and how we answer emergency calls.

As we enter pool season, multifamily property managers are no doubt beginning to prepare their pools to be a safe place for residents, with emergency pool phone maintenance deemed high priority. Here at Kings III, we are doing our own emergency pool phone prep ourselves in order to be able provide the proper assistance for any emergency pool situation. This is an extremely important aspect of our job. Many of you out there have never had to press the button yourselves but are aware of the importance of how a pool emergency is handled, as many times, these are life or death situations. The video shown above entails an actual phone call placed to a Kings III help phone and handled by our emergency communications center.

Watching this video was probably not easy. Nobody likes to think about a person in distress. However, it should bring a level of comfort to hear how our operators react. Kings III emergency dispatchers receive a higher level of certification and training than many 911 dispatch centers. Our dispatchers are all Advanced Emergency Medical Dispatcher (AEMD),Red Cross CPR and HIPAA certified, equipping them to not only make the right call on who to dispatch out to someone in distress, but also to be able to help them in the meantime.

Emergency pool phones present a different kind of emergency for our communications center. As the case in this video, our dispatchers deal with many drownings and potential drownings. As you can see, our Kings III dispatcher remained calm in a tense situation, inquiring pertinent information about the occurrence and dictating the next steps that needed to be taken.

Something that we really pride ourselves on is the extra care that our dispatchers pay in every situation asked of them. The demonstration of this is clear in this video. Once the dispatcher had sent help, he did not hang up, although technically his job was done. He remained on the emergency pool phone line, continuing to state instructions in order to provide all safety assistance that he could.

With the high frequency of calls to 911 dispatch centers, in many cases, the extra care and instruction provided on the telephone is simply not something they would be able to do. Kings III fills the gap by providing the care each individual observes. In addition to this, if our dispatchers deal with an emergency, they are able to verify the event of an emergency to 911 call centers, therefore placing that emergency in a higher priority spot. Through the emergency pool phone, we are able to assess the situation, provide medical and emergency assistance and dispatch the proper help as quickly as possible.

When it comes to your emergency pool phone, it’s simply as the video states: what if it were your loved one? Your residents’ safety is in your hands.
